Mazda Bongo Roof Wont Open

Roof stuck open after motor removal hi there after a summer of constant use i decided it was time to clean the roof runners and grease up the motors because i m fed up of having to push the roof to fully open it and pull it to get it closed.

The bleeping sounds ok but pressing the open button has no effect. Temp till you replace the switch. If your mazda bongo roof is shut but beeps as if open this could be the problem fixed. Both can be changed.

There s a mystery button in my bongo. There are two main points on a aft auto free top elevating roof. Mazda bongo auto free top elevating roof. Perhaps you need to work out why they are not working.

I made this time lapse video of my mazda bongo being converted on 9th april 2018 from 7am till around 5 30pm at a one frame per second rate. The owners manual will reveal whether or not there is a manual way but i doubt it. If you roof doesn t go up or down don t worry help is at hand. The bongos originally came with a length of cord and an allen key to get the roof down manually in an emergency though.

One is the two main motors at the back and the other is the two main gas struts. So i suppose it could be electrical contact as unlikely that both motors would fail as they previously worked fine.
