Plug the washer back in and hopefully the board reset.

The washer will go into a hold and drain routine for 8 minutes.
It stopped right after it dispensed the detergent and i ve tried all of the not so helpful repair advise on the maytag website and i still can t get it unlocked.
If not then your main control board will need to be replaced.
If door cannot be locked the washer goes into pause mode and a code is generated.
If the washer will not unlock at the end of a wash cycle unplug the washer or disconnect power.
The top panel will then pull straight back up and off.

I noticed that my maytag maxim front load washer was flashing door lock and error code f6e1 i think along with annoying chimes or buzzing.
First it had a code blinking that i looked up and it was for the water so i turned it on and now it is making a humming noise and the door is locked and that is all it will do.
At the start of a cycle the washer attempts to lock the door 6 times.
During this period you will be able to hear the pump running.

Reconnect power to washer plug in.
The door may immediately unlock.
When using one of these cycles the door will remain locked until the cancel button is pushed.
After 8 minutes the door will unlock.
